Today we finished up working and discussing in our groups. We each presented and it was good to listen to other groups and their thoughts on the story. I learned that their are many people like Yolanda who crave to reconnect to their past or to what they use to know and they sometimes feel disconnected and make them feel out of place. So far so good.

Today we got into groups to work on a new book we started to read. We each have different roles to work on and my role is summarizer which means I am to read the story so I could summarize and point out key points of it. Looks like a pretty interesting book that will teach us something different. So far so good.

Today we continued presentations on the other Latin American countries. Mr. Tease had us take a piece of paper and write down 3 facts we got from the presentations and also any questions. Learned about The DR’s rich culture. Today will be a good day.

Today we started presentations on Latin American countries. Today my classmates presented Brazil, Guatemala, Mexico, and Columbia. It was interesting to know about these countries and what their traditions and customs also the food. I learned that Guatemala has lots of volcanoes. Hope to learn more with the other countries.

Today we continued on our research projects. I have learned many different things about Venezuela for example their traditional foods which sound and look very good. Very interesting to learn about different thin outside of yo ur own country. Today looks like it will be a good day.

Today we started a new unit on Latin America. We got assigned a Latin country to research about and make a PowerPoint out of. We are to follow the rubric in order to be able to have all the information for each slide. We will be learning about Latin America. Today was a good day.

We wrote our essay on illuminate today. We followed the guide on how to accurately write our essay. Wasn’t to hard and it was very easy to find many evidence.
10/03/23
Today we continued on practicing how to make an essay. We choose prompts to work on and and sun ideas to the main idea. We will continue to work on it tomorrow. Learning a new method with the bubble chart that lets you know what ideas you have around the main idea. So far it has been a good day.

Today we took some notes about how to make a body paragraph. We used the book fences to help write our claim and evidence. We learned how to format and correctly cite evidence. So far everything has been good.
